for our Medical and First Responder Heroes!
There is a shortage of face masks, not just locally, but across the country. We have joined the fight against COVID19 by making face masks to help protect our medical and first responder heroes! These fabric masks can be worn over the special N95 mask to give it more longevity since the fabric face mask can easily be removed and washed. They can also be worn by anyone who is coughing and sneezing to help minimize the spread of their germs.

Drop Off Locations: The masks will be donated to local facilities first and then to other areas that are in need. The list will be updated as we identify additional facilities. Drop Off Locations.pdf
3,000 MASKS AND COUNTING!

2020 Raffle Quilt Winner Announced!
Members of the Palmetto Quilt Guild gathered to pick the winning raffle ticket despite the cancellation of their 2020 Quilt Festival as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lana Armstrong, 2020 Quilt Festival Chair drew the winning ticket from the thousands sold while other festival organizers, including Kathryn Womble, who was in charge of ticket sales, Sylvia Cameron, the leader of the quilt production group and Pam Rubinos, Guild President, looked on.
The name on the winning ticket was Dr. Rosalyn Lester who is now the proud owner of “Island Compass”. “Oh my gosh! I’m so happy to win this beautiful quilt, I admire the workmanship, it is phenomenal!” said Rosalyn when she was contacted by phone after her winning ticket was pulled.
The quilt, titled “Island Compass” was inspired by a pattern designed by Liz Schwartz and Stephen Seifert, and quilted by Guild member, Deborah Bryant.
The biennial Quilt Festival and Quilt Raffle are the Guild’s primary fundraising projects which support educational, Community Service, Outreach and Scholarship programs.
